During Mercedes Benz Fashion Week I took a break from the tents to attend a fabulous Charity Event coordinated by Sue Phillip the creator of Scenterpises, Ltd. and American Red Cross. The event took place on Valentines Day at the very elegant Firebird Restaurant in Midtown, Manhattan. The charity event was an effort to help Support Haiti Relief with a one-of-a-kind innovative multi-sensory perfume experience.
Ms. Phillips has developed and launched the TIFFANY Perfume, as well as fragrances for BURBERRY’S, TRISH McEVOY and many others. During this exciting perfume event she took those who participated on a ‘fragance journey’ to evaluate 18 different exquisite blends.
Each supporter at the event chose 3 or 4 that they adored creating their unique ‘formula’! All that attended and participated received a Certificate of Registration to authenticate their creation and their custom formula was presented in an elegant designer atomizers creating their own Signature Perfume.
Many items were auctioned to benefit Haiti Relief – 100% of the auction proceeds went to American Red Cross … from LANCOME, OSCAR DE LA RENTA, EMPIRE DIAMOND, FELLAN’S FLORIST, DR. FRAN GARE, DR MICHAEL GELB, Artists HUNT SLONEM and MICHAEL MUT and many many others..
The Perfume Experience included a 3-course Champagne brunch at the famous FIREBIRD RESTAURANT, as well as the Fragrance Seminar with an international Fragrance Expert, and the opportunity to create one’s individual signature perfume. An additional 25% of the proceeds from the Event went towards Haiti Relief.
