Happy New Years darlings, this year was truly a special treat for me. My entourage and I spent New Years Eve at the elegant and charming Centre Bridge Inn in New Hope Pennsylvania.
The Centre Bridge Inn overlooks the Delaware River in the quaint village of Centre Bridge, in historic Bucks County Pennsylvania. The inn is famous for its historial qualities and is over 300 years old. The Centre Brige Inn is one of a kind with beauty and class that combines contemporary services with a romantic atmosphere of centuries gone bye. Over the years, Centre Bridge Inn has earned the highest distinction for their reputation hosting weddings, rehearsal dinners, romantic engagement dinners and many special events. I chatted with the owner Jerry Horan and the events coordinator Melissa Lefchak. The evening started off with Cocktails as we were entertained by Cabaret Singer Ms. Barbara Trent.

Later we dined at the gorgeous Stockton Inn in Stockton, New Jersey which is just a stone throw away across from the Delaware Bridge. Owner Fred Strackhouse was our host for the evening.

The historic Stockton Inn has a glamorous restaurant, a rustic tavern, and cozy overnight rooms with many unique historic touches. Fine dining is served in the exquisite Mural Rooms with fireside seating during the colder months, and expands to the Glass Room as spring and summer approaches. In the warmest months of the year patrons dine along side a waterfall on their beautiful outside patio.

I also chatted with Piano Player Karl Dietel who performed in the Glass Room from 8:30 until 12:30. Best known as the keyboard player for the road-warrior band The Samples, Karl has played nationwide, including at Red Rocks in Colorado! Patrons enjoyed watching the the ball drop from the broadcast from Times Square on a 50” plasma in the Glass Room.

At The Stockton Inn, history abounds. The Murals in the original dining rooms were painted by local artists during the depression in exchange for room & board for their families. Each of the murals depict a historic scene or event from the surrounding region. The Glass Dining Room has a very unique and historic Silver Dollar floor and the Tavern, or “Farmer’s Bar” has the original, molded tin ceiling, and fine mahogany wood detail throughout.

The Stockton Inn’s newly renovated guest rooms offer a selection of 11 beautiful bedrooms, suites, and studios (most with fireplaces), perfect for weary travelers to spend the evening!
The Tavern, established in 1832, echoes of days gone by. Kick back with friends, both old and new, and enjoy our classic tavern menu and fine spirits within this historic setting.
Planning a special day? Look no further than The Stockton Inn. The experienced event planner, Sandy McGinnis assured me that the Stockton Inn is more than happy to create your special event in exquisite surrounds in their indoor or outdoor banquet facilities.
The early 20th century was one of the greatest eras in songwriting history. Remember the song “The Little Hotel with the Wishing Well?” The Stockton Inn was immortalized when it became the centerpiece of this classic repertoire written by Richard Rogers and featured on Broadway.
