Ugly Betty Cancelled I am going to miss Vanessa Williams Designer Duds and Fab Furs

Vanessa Williams

ABC has just informed Ugly Betty producers that the show’s current fourth season will be its last. What’s more, the network has trimmed the show’s episode order from 22 to 20.

Although not a complete shock given the show’s heinous ratings, the news is nonetheless a total bummer — particularly in light of Betty’s creative resurgence this season.

The good news is that ABC has given Betty’s bosses enough time to craft a satisfying series finale. Exec producer Silvio Horta and ABC president Steve McPherson confirmed as much in this joint statement: “We’ve mutually come to the difficult decision to make this Ugly Betty’s final season, and are announcing now as we want to allow the show ample time to write a satisfying conclusion. We are extremely proud of this groundbreaking series, and felt it was important to give the fans a proper farewell.”

No more Ugly Betty wearing that hideous poncho, Sorry Pat Field! No more Vanessa Willams wearing those designer duds and fabulous furs darling!

Crooner Michael Bublé apparently is already adorning a wedding ring

Luisana Loreley Lopilato de la Torre and Michael Bublé

Crooner Michael Bublé apparently is already adorning a wedding ring. The recording artist got engaged to beautiful Argentine actress Luisana Loreley Lopilato de la Torre in November and gave her a diamond engagement ring that he helped design from Vancouver jeweler Minichiello. But a bubbly Bublé stopped by Patsy’s the other day and showed off his own “wedding” ring, even though they’re not yet married. He was overheard telling chef Sal Scognamillo that rings were exchanged at the engagement because it was a tradition in her family. The source revealed, “He referred to it as his wedding ring. He seemed pretty excited.”

Sarah Jessica Parker

Sex and The City Star Sarah Jessica Parker was photographed by fashion photographer Mario Testino for the June cover of Vogue on Thursday. A spokesman for the glossy denied the actress was wearing only a bikini, but couldn’t say what she modeled. The hush-hush Jersey City session took place at the Beacon, a historically restored luxury residential development known, according to its promoters, for “soaring loft spaces, art-deco grandeur and million-dollar views of the Manhattan skyline.

Press Photographer Shane Gritzinger who is one of the most famous celebrity photographers in the world escorted Rosemary and I or as he likes to call us ” His Dames” to this over the top Designer Restaurant.

After enjoying our dinner I interviewed Manager Kermitt Bowen over cocktails.

TV Host Cognac Wellerlane interviews Manager Kermitt Bowen at Buddakan Restaurant – Video by Mauro Botero

Stephen Starr’s Buddakan is a spectacular restaurant featuring exotic flavors of modern Asian cuisine with creativity and drama. Bon Appetit notes, “The mostly white space is striking, with a lit-from-within communal table in the middle of the room, a waterfall & a ten-foot, candle-bedecked Buddha. The religious icon watches over hip customers indulging in pan-Asian cuisine that far surpasses the fare usually found at hot spots like this.” Newsweek reports, “Design also serves as a signifier for cuisine. You walk into Buddakan, one of the hottest new restaurants in Philadelphia, past a shimmering waterfall & Japanese river stones & you say to yourself, ‘ginger-miso everything’ even before you see the magnificent 10-foot Buddha dominating the dining room.” Named one of “America’s Top 50 Restaurants” by Travel & Leisure and ‘Top Restaurant for Fun’ by Gourmet, Buddakan has become one of the country’s most talked about restaurants.

After dining in such luxury we decided to do the town visiting legendary Monstor Bar.

The Monster is like a sitcom: it remains A Historic Village Bar with friendly barmen, good Cocktails Prices, Talented Piano Players, a Dance Floor below where you can Boogie to Disco Classics on Tuesdays. The Monday & Wednesday Drag Shows are wonderfully professional with Gorgeous Women who are really Men! Absolutely Fabulous…Cheers!
