I had the pleasure of attending a Screening of a Trailer for the Soon to be Released film “Too Good To Be True” starring Gary Silberman.

A comic tale of mistaken identity Too Good to be True follows the exploits of Max (Gary Silberman), a family man about to embark on a business trip with his hard to deal with boss Phil (Joe Marino). Before that trip even begins, we find out Charlie (Dominic Mancino) the local mob boss, is concerned with his daughters engagement to Phil. He hires Kate (Kat Murello) to test his son to be son-in-law’s faithfulness to his daughter during this business trip. Kate has no idea what Phil looks like, but her partner Tony T. (Al Burgo) has seen him before and can ID her target. The two hit men leave Charlie’s office with instructions to test Phil and should he fail, “Put the fear of God into him.”

Max rides with Phil in his new sweet mustang to the hotel where their business conference takes place and from the driveway to check-in, Phil has already put Max in a dread filled mood with the desire to go back home to his family. The trip only gets worse at the hotel bar where Phil finds a table full of business men to drink with and becomes an even larger annoyance then before. Kate makes her way into the bar and mistakes Max for Phil when one of Phil’s drunken companions calls him by the wrong name. This begins the ride of Max’s life which will end with him tied to a chair wearing one sock and his boxers, oh and a gun pointing at his head.

This hilarious short film was Directed by P. J. Galati and Gary Silberman, surrounded by a hard working crew and seasoned cast of professionals. Guest cameos include myself Cognac Wellerlane, Vivilicious, Angelique Monét, Claudia Brown and Lauren Loguidice.

During our interview Mr. Silberman explained that he is preparing for the screening of the film which will take place in December.
