“Legends of The Academy” Class of 2007 Gala Honoring Charles Durning, Gena Rowlands and Anne Bancroft

Members of the Academy including the Board of Trustees of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts – Roger Croucher, President and CEO, Sam Gores, Gala Chairman and Samuel Davis celebrated Legend of the Academy Class of 2007, a Gala evening of memorable stars and the remarkable achievement of three remarkable fascinating and distinguished alumni of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts:  Charles Durning, Gena Rowlands and Anne Bancroft.  The event was held at the Hudson Theatre in Manhattan on March 26, 2007.

Other celebrities that attended were Claudia Ferris, Amanda Farrow, Julia White, Katherine Oliver, Mark Price and Penny Fuller
Roger Croucher became President of the America Academy of Dramatic Arts in 2000. Through his never ending  efforts as a highly distinguished global educator (16 years as Principal of LAMDA, four years at Boston University), professional actor (Old Vic, Royal Shakespeare, Masterpiece Theatre) and respected stage director, The Academy connections have been developed with theatre artists, professional theatres and educators worldwide. The growth of their international student body has been outstanding offering students a broad diverse environment for learning the craft of acting.
