 Everyone’s favorite sex columnist “Sex and the City” Star Sarah Jessica Parker decided to make a difference so she rolled up her sleeves and pitched in last night for the UNICEF clean water initiative in Midtown Manhattan.Â

Other celebrities that decided to support and also pitch in were Tom Collicchio, Paul Bettany, Jimmy Fallon, Petra Nemcova Pharrel Williams and Peter Sarsgaard. The fundraiser was held at the Posh Manhattan Hearst Tower. The fundraising event was held to make New Yorkers aware that tap water is really safer than bottled water and encourages New York City diners to pay $1 for each glass of water that normally comes free with their dining. UNICEF will benefit by encouraging and providing safe water for children to drink around the world. Tap water believe it or not is really safer. It seems that about one third of designer waters that are tested do contain some level of contamination including chemicals, arsenic and bacteria How gosh darlings! I think I will stick with the Tap out of a champagne glass of course!
