Halle Berry’s Suicide Attempt

Friday, March 30th, 2007

Hello darlings, welcome back to Cognac’s Corner Magazine.

 halle-berry.jpg

 Halle Berry

According to a recent article in Parade Magazine which will be featured in this Sunday’s Post, a depressed Halle Berry attempted suicide after her divorce to David Justice, famous ball player.

Beautiful Berry was so distraught she tried to gas herself but at the last minute overcame her suicide attempt.  “I was sitting in my car, and I knew the gas was coming when I had an image of my mother (Judith) finding me.”  Berry revealed to Parade.  “She sacrificed so much for her children, and to end my life would be an incredibly selfish thing to do…It was all about a relationship.  My sense of worth was so low.  I had to reprogram myself to see the good in me… Because someone didn’t love me didn’t mean I was unlovable.  I promised myself I would never be a coward again.”  She also revealed to Parade Magazine that her marriage to Eric Benet as “really horrific”.    Berry also explained that she should have left the marriage sooner but she was putting other people’s needs before hers.

Halle Berry was born in Cleveland Ohio on August 14, 1966.  After Halle’s father walked out on the family, her mom Judith a psychiatric nurse raised her and her sister Heidi.

The Oscar Award winning actress first began her career in the entertainment industry as a Beauty Pageant Contestant.  Winning the crown and title of Miss Teen All American, Miss USA (first runner-up) and Miss World.  She continued her education studying broadcast journalism but decided to leave college and pursue the glamorous life of show business.  Halle studied acting and started working as a model.  She auditioned for Charlie’s Angels.  Unfortunately she did not receive the role but Aaron Spelling thought she was very talented and quite beautiful so he encouraged her to pursue her dream of stardom and then her big break came.  In 1991 famous Director Spike Lee decided to cast Halle as a drug addict in his new and controversial movie “Jungle Fever”.  Gorgeous perfectionist Halle was so determined to prove that she could deliver her role so precisely that she actually interviewed addicts and stopped bathing for 10 days before the movie went into filming.  Top roles started streaming in and Halle was marvelous in all of them.  My favorite and I am sure it is one of hers is “Introducing Dorothy Dandridge” which she won a Golden Globe and an Emmy for Best Actress in a Miniseries or TV movie.  In 2002 the beautiful Ms. Halle Berry won an Oscar for Best Actress in “Monster’s Ball” which established her as A-list movie star.  She marked history as being the first African American woman to receive an Academy Award as Best Actress.  She continues to act in superior movies and is respected by her peers.  Although it was tough for Halle in Hollywood in the beginning she prevailed and embraced her fame with poise and grace enabling her as one of the brightest stars in the industry.

Love you Halle darling and all you Halle fans out there don’t forget to get The Sunday edition of Parade Magazine in this Sunday’s Post.

According to my sources a very prominent Manhattan judge has just thrown out a $1.5 million dollar lawsuit against Gorgeous Song-tress Beyonce Knowles and her business mom Tina.  CEO of Icon Entertainment Greg Walker was charging the show business team of mom and daughter and their brand Wear Me Apparel were pilfering him on his brokerage deal to their clothing line, House of Dereon.

Apparently my source revealed, CEO Walker claims they were only giving him $10,000.  The judge through the case out of court claiming there was no binding written document or contract in order to have a legitimate case!

My sources revealed that TV host for Top Chef beautiful Padma Laksmi may be leaving her husband Salman Rushdie who is 23 years her senior.  Apparently the New York Observer reported a story that the couple’s close friend, Designer Diane von Furstenberg, was overheard saying “I can’t believe she’s leaving him.”  The couple have been married a whole five years and first met at the Talk Magazine launch party in 1999 on Liberty Island.

Darlings, I had the chance to interview the handsome couple at the International Emmy Awards back in November.

The beautiful TV personality speaks five languages and has a seven inch scar on her inside arm as a result of a major car crash that she experienced as a child.  She started her show business career as a result of a photographer discovering her natural photogenic beauty while spending her senior year studying in Spain.

Exotic Padma was born in New Delhi in 1971 but spent most of her childhood in the United States.  Gorgeous Padmas always knew she was lovely and dreamed about becoming a model as a little girl in fact she reminisces about wearing a sensuous dress at the age of nine.

She has cat walked on the runway for such labels as Armani, Versace and Ralph Lauren.  She is also famous for recently writing the cookbook A Model’s Low-Fat Recipes from Around the World, that became an international bestseller.

Padma starred in two Bollywood films, Caribbeans and Sandokan: The Darkness and the Light. Because of her fame in India, American studios where interested in her talents and cast Padma as Sylk in the 2001 box-office bomb Glitter, with Mariah Carey. That same year, she guest-starred in an episode of the Star Trek spin-off Enterprise.

When her cookbook became a bestseller the Food Network gave her a TV show, Padma’s Passport, where she traveled the world tasting the most exotic dishes imaginable.

At present Padma is creating her own film production company, Lakshmi Productions.

Anna Nicole Smith’s Death Coroners Report

Tuesday, March 27th, 2007

Hello darlings, welcome back to Cognac’s Corner Magazine.

 anna-nicole-smith-picture-1.jpg

Anna Nicole Smith

In my opinion Anna’s death was not an accident or though the powers that be would like us to think so.

According to the coroner’s report and officials, Anna Nicole Smith death was a result of “accidentally” overdosing on approximately nine prescription drugs.  Anna apparently died in her sleep on February 8, 2007 at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood Florida.

Broward County Medical Examiner Joshua Pepper explains the shocking report of how Smith’s death as a result of an infection and a toxic cocktail of pharmaceutical drugs including chloral hydrate ended in her death.

Here is a day by day report beginning from February 5th, three day before her untimely death.

On February 5, 2007 Anna boarded a plain from the Bahamas to Florida feeling fairly OK…at that time she had an infection on her left buttock from injections for weight control and longevity according to report findings.  During the plane ride she started complaining of butt pain and started feeling feverish en route to her hotel.  The infection went untreated and she developed a fever of 105 degrees.  According to their story her nurse and bodyguard wanted her to check into a hospital because of her raging fever but she refused.  Instead she was given an ice bath that brought her temperature down to 97 degrees.   That night she took Tamiflu, Ciprofloxacinm and chloral hydrate to sleep.

The next day, February 6th she had a temperature of 100 degrees and was depressed but did watch some television and seemed to be doing better.  She was given chamomile tea, Pedialyte and Fiji water and she was also given a soothing bath to bring her fever down.  Again she ingested more of chloral hydrate to sleep and alleviate her pain.  She also demanded to take  Soma, Klonopin and Topamax but the report is unclear if she actually did ingest these drugs.

February 7th, Anna was feeling better.  She stayed in bed watching television and at around 11:00 a.m. she felt like eating and had an egg white omelet with spinach according to the coroner’s report.  After that the situation deteriorated quickly and in the afternoon was seen sitting in a dry bathtub.  Before her death she did eat a full dinner of two crab cakes and shrimp and took a bath.

The next day, February 8th the boat captain’s wife found her slumped downward with her mouth open in bed. After her caretakers failed at reviving her they called the paramedics where they transported her to Hollywood Memorial Hospital.

At 2:49 p.m. on February 8th Anna Nicole Smith was pronounced dead six minutes after she arrived at the Hospital.

According to officials, Anna’s fever might have been linked to a stomach flu and an infected abscess on her left buttocks.  Feeling depressed and in pain she digested a lethal combo of drugs specifically a sleeping medication chloral hydrate which made it toxic.  She also did show traces of methadone in her body but this did not seem to play a significant role in her death.

Medical Examiner Joshua Perper stated that Ms. Smith would still be alive today had she gone to the hospital to treat her fever and infection.  According to Perper and Tribal Police Chief Charlie Tiger, if she had gone to the hospital she would not have had the opportunity to take the toxic combination of drugs especially chloral Hydrate which was also prescribed to Marilyn Monroe before her untimely death.  She was originally prescribed the sleeping medication chloral Hydrate because of her having nightmares and inability to sleep as a result of her son’s death.

Stern and his lawyer are putting the blame on paparazzi claiming that  “She did not want the media frenzy that follows her…She refused to go to the hospital because she wanted to avoid media,” replied attorney Sanchez.

My questions, darlings, How did Anna Nicole get her doctor - or multiple doctors- to administer all these drugs at the same time?  Why did no one call the ambulance when Anna’s fever raged to 105 degrees? Why did 40 minutes pass before Anna’s nurse notified a bodyguard to call 911?  And why darlings did Anna not want media attention?  She loved the cameras, she loved being photographed so I don’t believe Stern and his attorney.

I smell a rat darlings!
